Sinds de jaren negentig is de stroom van massatoerisme naar de Canarische Eilanden continu enorm toegenomen. In het midden van ongerepte plaatsen of in de zeer toeristische badplaatsen, worden moderne toeristenresidenties gebouwd, die onpersoonlijk zijn en erg op elkaar lijken.
In deze serie ontsnap ik aan de toeristische hotspots om de eigen identiteit van Lanzarote te ontdekken. Gebouwen zijn typisch Spaanse woonstijlen, met witte huizen met platte daken in een verlaten en ongerept landschap.

Since the 1990s the mass tourism flow to the Canary Islands has been a continuous enormous boom. In the middle of unspoiled places or at the very tourist beach resorts, modern tourist residences are built, being impersonal and very similar to each other.
In this series, I am escaping from the tourist hotspots to discover the own identity of Lanzarote. Buildings are typically Spanish living styles, with flat-roofed houses white colored located in an abandoned and unspoiled landscape.
